How do we recognize the intentional or unintentional consequences of cultural shifts contributing to the rise of antisemitism? How do we reconcile the different viewpoints on antisemitism?

Join us for a thought-provoking discussion as panelists David Bernstein, founder of the Jewish Institute for Liberal Values (JILV) and Seth Brysk, Chief Officer of External Affairs & Partnerships for the Jewish Community Federation and former ADL Central Pacific Regional Director, explore the facets of contemporary antisemitism from diverse perspectives and examine strategies to effectively address the alarming rise of antisemitism in our communities.

David Bernstein Biography

In addition to being the founder of JILV, David is co-founder for the Institute for Liberal Values, a consortium of organizations supporting liberal principles in and outside of the Jewish community, past President and CEO of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, former Executive Director of the David Project, and served in senior roles for 13 years at the American Jewish Committee. David is the author of Woke Antisemitism: How a Progressive Ideology Harms Jews, and is a prolific speaker, podcaster and writer, having written hundreds of opinion pieces in the Jewish and general press.

Seth Brysk Biography

Prior to joining the Jewish Community Federation in the Summer of 2023, Seth was the Central Pacific Regional Director of the ADL, AJC Regional Director in Los Angeles, and San Francisco Hillel Executive Director. He has been involved with government affairs in a number of capacities – he is a former provisional delegate to the US State Department Advisory Committee on Religious Freedom Abroad, a representative to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, served on Gavin Newsom’s Governor’s Council on Holocaust and Genocide Education, played a critical role in passing an inclusive hate crime law in Utah, and was recognized by FBI Director Christopher Wray with the Community Leadership Award for his service and commitment to justice.
