Dear Friends

This Friday we’ll be gathering in the back room of the chapel for our last Beyond Words session of 2023.

I hope you will plan to be there, and I encourage you to invite/bring along a friend.  Our learnings are deeply enhanced when we can experience Torah through one another’s eyes, minds, hearts, and creative expressions.  (No "artistic skill” is needed—just curiosity and a bit of imagination.)

If you have favorite art supplies, please bring them along. I will provide collage materials.

Along those lines, please do plan to spend a bit of time with Vayishlach (Genesis 32:4–36:43) beforehand, so we can jump right into exploring the rich images and themes it contains.  

A lot of things happen in these verses; there are complicated interpersonal dynamics, actions, and themes.

→ Which feel connected to something you’re experiencing in your life?
