MASUA SAGIV is the Koret Visiting Assistant Professor of Jewish and Israel Studies at UC Berkeley and a scholar-in-residence at the Shalom Hartman Institute. She is a researcher at the Menomadin Center for Jewish and Democratic Law at Bar-Ilan University faculty of law, where she was also the Academic Director and a lecturer 2018-2021. She won the Gorney Prize for Young Scholar in Public Law (2019) and the Ben Halpern Award for Best Dissertation in Israel Studies (2020).Her research areas are: law and social change, gender, religion and state, and Judaism & democracy in Israel.
