In honor of Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), we are proud to provide a screening of the award-winning film “Jack and Sam.” From Executive Producers Julianna Margulies and Sarah Silverman and directed by Jordan Mathew Horowitz, "Jack and Sam" is a poignant documentary about two Holocaust survivors, Samuel Ron and Jack Waksal, who miraculously reunited after 80 years. Into their late 90s, they have spent their precious time rekindling their friendship and educating others about the dangers of hatred.

 

Mixing documentary, archival, and breathtaking animation, this heartwarming story explores the enduring power of connection and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of unimaginable adversity.

 

While Samuel Ron has just recently passed away at the age of 99, his son, David Ron, is continuing to tell his father’s story and will be interviewing the director of the film, Jordan Horowitz, at our screening.
