Our Spring Fundraiser is Coming Up!

Between power outages, flooding and unusually rainy, cold weather, we are all ready for a change. Maybe it’s no Noah’s Ark but we certainly have endured a wet and stormy winter! So let's celebrate the spring sunshine together, this May, with a Garden Party honoring our entire community.

Please join us on Sunday, May 21 at 3:30 pm for live music, food, games, and Garden Party favors. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy an afternoon with old friends and meet new ones. New members: this is a perfect time to introduce yourselves to the community!

    Life, Longevity, and Mortality

    Tuesday, May 30th 7:00p to 8:30p
We are living longer. By 2030, 20% of the US population will be over 65 years of age and in many Western European and Asian countries, the percentage will be closer to 40% of the population. Moreover, the average life-expectancy of children born in high income countries over the next decades is projected to increase to nearly 100 years or more. Join Phil Pizzo to learn about the fundamental components of “positive longevity” which means having a purpose, seeking social engagement, and fostering wellness through positive lifestyle choices.

    Social Justice Meeting

    Shabbat, Jun 10th 12:45p to 1:45p
Our community includes a range of views about the best path towards a more compassionate and safe society. The social justice group acts from a perspective that is not representative of our entire community but does resonate with many. If you would like to join this group in their fight for the dignity of low-income workers, stable housing, and immigrant rights, we will have a table set aside at kiddush lunch on Shabbat. It will be an opportunity to share hopes and angers and fears and inspirations, and to come away inspired for action. For more information, contact Pamela Ehrlich or Linda Leeb or Rabbi Ilana.
