AIPAC

For more than half a century, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has worked to help make Israel more secure by ensuring that American support remains strong.  From a small pro-Israel public affairs boutique in the 1950s, AIPAC has grown into a 100,000-member national grassroots movement described by The New York Times as "the most important organization affecting America's relationship with Israel."

SOUTH BAY AND SAN FRANCISCO MEMBERSHIP DINNERS

South Bay Dinner: Sunday, December 13, 6:00 p.m., Santa Clara Convention Center

San Francisco Dinner: Tuesday, December 15, 5:00 p.m, San Francisco Hilton and Towers

The keynote speaker for both events is Dr. Stephen M. Berk, Professor of History, Union College. Dr. Berk is widely known for his expertise on the Holocaust, Russia, and the Middle East.

Last year, more than 100 Beth Jacob members attended one or both of these events. We hope we can match that number and possibly exceed it. Remember that AIPAC's focus is to educate Congress (on both sides of the aisle) about Israel's interests. They do not endorse candidates and do not give money to candidates. Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, and Independents are members of AIPAC.  Since it is difficult for many people to attend AIPAC’s National Conference in Washington, DC, we strongly encourage you to try to attend one of the upcoming dinners.

For the South Bay Dinner:

  • Just like last year, we will be reserving (paying in advance) several tables for Beth Jacob and friends. This gives us maximum flexibility to seat everyone together. Greg Sterling will be paying for the tables in advance, and then the attendees are expected to pay him back. Since there is no tax deduction for this event, you don't lose by paying this way.  The cost is $90 per person.

Please contact the Beth Jacob office or Greg Sterling as soon as possible so we can determine how many tables to reserve.

When you contact the office, please tell them how many seats you want to reserve and if you have a preference for who you would like to sit with.  Please also send a check to the Beth Jacob Office, payable to Greg Sterling.

For the San Francisco Dinner:

We look forward to seeing you at one of these events.
